Charlie and Demi are the most unlikely of suitors. They are polar opposites in every way, but somehow fate still brought them to one another. After hearing Charlie sing one night in a random smokey bar, Demi finds himself revisiting the hole in the wall just to see her. When given the chance to know her, he realizes that the life he's been living for fifteen years has led him in the wrong direction. With love as their compass, Charlie and Demi must trust themselves enough to get lost in love and in one another as they fight against gravity to let their love fly high.

Birds in the Sky is a love story that takes Ashley Antoinette's fans to a place of nostalgia as they root for a love that conquers all.

Antoinette is a New York Times Bestselling author, television writer, and business maven, who inspires women with her fictional, passion filled writings.

Birds in the Sky is a strong and engaging introduction to Demi and Charlie, setting the tone beautifully for the rest of the series. Ashley Antoinette doesn’t shy away from real-life issues—marriage, lust, boredom, unmet needs, and the messy complexity of relationships are all explored with a raw, honest tone.
The story captures the laughter, pain, joy, expectations, and emotional tension that come with loving someone, making the characters and their experiences very relatable. While my only real complaint is how quickly the main characters fall in love, the emotional depth of their journey still pulls you in and keeps you invested.
As an audiobook, this story truly shines thanks to the phenomenal narration by Wesleigh Siobhan. As always, she brings the characters to life with emotion, authenticity, and perfect pacing, making the listening experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Birds in the Sky is an excellent start to the Demi & Charlie series and a compelling story that’s easy to follow and hard to put down. I would definitely recommend it—especially in audiobook form.

This storyline was engaging from the beginning! And as usual, Wesleigh Siobhan delivered a stellar performance with her narration. Ashley Antoinette is one author who always sends me on an emotional rollercoaster. From the relationship between Demi and Charlie to Charlie’s family dynamics, there’s a lot of relatability as Mrs. Antoinette masterfully sets the stage for the ending cliffhanger. I love the way she brings in characters from the Ethic and Butterfly series which are two of my favorite series!

The fact that you can fall in love with someone in a day and it makes you rethink 15 years of marriage with someone who was there from ground level IS WILD. It’s also scary. One spouse thinking everything is fine and the other is evaluating every decision, makes you wonder is everything really as good as it seems.

Demi was a different man with each women.
