Introducing tigers to the mix, integrating some characters from previous stories, a damsel who gives as good as she gets, the usual brilliant narrators... Should’ve been an easy win. Instead, the audio recording was mismatched (one too slow, the other inconsistent), so I was constantly adjusting the playback speed. The story didn’t flow well and almost seemed phoned in, like AI wrote the draft and no one bothered to flesh it out. A real disappointment, and the only one I haven’t really enjoyed (I own every Sam Hall to date available on Audible).
