Angels and Guardrails: Book One of the Still Small Voice Trilogy

Three thousand pounds of jelly sliding backward down the highway; a child with no accordion; a father covered head to toe in pale, yellow paint. Thirty talks, dozens of stories, hundreds of scriptures and testimonies, one purpose: that we “press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men” (2 Nephi 31:19).

The Still Small Voice Trilogy is a collection of talks given in a variety of settings and capacities in the LDS environment over the past 40 years, relevant to any follower of Christ, Mormon or not. Topics include faith, repentance, baptism, obedience, scripture study, fellowshipping, gratitude, education, idleness, service, families, humility, prophecy, listening, broken hearts and contrite spirits, journals, salvation, adversity, testimony, hypocrisy, agency, leadership, friends, mental health, money, self-reliance, reverence, parents, temples, kindness, righteousness, revelation, sacrifice, hope, the atonement, the Holy Ghost and hearing that still, small voice in a high-decibel world. Through them all, uniting them all, however, is a testimony of and witness for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
