It was really good, very deep dive into what the Bible really says about "Angels" angel is the generic English word for many different words in the Bible and he goes through them. He also touches on non-bilical records that mirror the biblical accounts of angels to help us understand the cultural context AND challenge us that they were more active than many want to believe.
This is were he will lose some people, but I thought he did this very well. He talks a lot about 1 Enoch, but in that, he ties to to the many times Enoch is quoted my the new Testament writers and when they give a backdrop that can only be understood given what we see in 1 Enoch. Now before you go saying that that's a deal breaker, he states that he does not see Enoch as Scripture but if the New Testament writers refer to it so often, we should know what it days to understand their words.
Anyway great book that I recommend.
