This is the first book in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery series and I enjoyed it very much. I was happy to see the characters from the Cold Creek Mystery series brought back as I enjoyed those books very much. And I'm getting ready to listen to the next book in this series now! The narrator, Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo, has done a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. You can't go wrong with any book written by Christa Nardi or narrated by Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo. I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author.

A wonderful new Sheridan Hendley Mystery Series!

I listened to this audiobook in one session, while I was cleaning. I carried it around with me, and never noticed how long I was working. The story kept my interest through to the end. While I was disappointed to be able to guess a sizable part of the outcome, there were surprises for me as well. The author, Christa Nardi, was new to me. I felt that the plot was very well constructed, and her writing fluid and enjoyable. The narrator, Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo, truly brought each character to life. With distinct voices for every character, male or female, adult or child, all were easily distinguished. Her narration portrayed the personality and state of mind of each character throughout the progression of the book. I will continue to read more of the series, as I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress for the characters. Mrs. Chantilly, in particular, is an intriguing person I'd like to discover more about. I would certainly recommend this book for any cozy mystery fan.

This is the first book in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery Series, a Cozy Mystery. This series is a spin-off of the Cold Creek Cozy Mysteries, but I haven't read to this series yet. Sheridan, Brett, and his daughter, Maddie, are great characters. The supporting characters are intriguing. The mystery, is well crafted, and entertaining, filled with twists and turns. I liked the characters, the intrigue, and the great conclusion. Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo did a great job with the narration. This is an excellent, clean cozy mystery. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Some evil lethal juvenile delinquents connected to money and privilege needed a comeuppance!! What a chain if deceit that I didn't see coming. Good mystery. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.
