This is everything that made me fall in love with Sara Cate’s stories. It’s intellectually provocative, thoughtfully penned, deliciously sexy, and existentially curious. The type of story that excites and incites all at once. It’s tantalizing and erotic, but also psychologically illuminating and emotionally rich. Sara Cate at her best marries the tintilating with the profound, the ultra sexy with a distinct and meaningful point of view. And this, well the Anti-Hero is the very best of Sara Cate. It’s gritty and complex, metaphysically dynamic and emotionally gripping, all while delivering a story mesmerizingly naughty and delicious.

I loved this book so much! My 1st Sara Cate book and I’m a fan for life. Sage and Adam are an amazing couple. Loved the duet style of this book, wish more would go this way. Both narraters were top notch and this was also my first Jacob Morgan book listen! Again didn’t hate it he could read the back of a cereal box to me and it would make me so happy! Can’t wait for the rest of the Goode brothers books. My only complaint if I had to name one was I too was picturing Adam closer to the 28-32 range vs 37 but I understand it would have messed with the time line so it was no big deal for me. Oh and I was surprised that this church boy was so experienced in 🌶. It would have been cool to get a little more character development or backstory on him and his girlfriends past for some context when it came to how he was so skilled. I mean Sage didn’t have to teach him anything other than how to let go and give into what he really wanted! This was a top 5 book for me in 2023! Plot/Story = 4 Spice level 🌶=4

I tried reading this book a couple of months ago and for some reason I wasn’t able to get past 15%… little did I know a couple of pages later, shit hits the fan and I would be very invested. So I gave it a try on audiobook and boy, was I on board with the whole thing and loving it! Based on other reviews I’ve read about this book, I was expecting it to be a lot dirtier, but I am certainly not complaining.

As for narration, I have yet to hear a book narrated by Jacob Morgan that I didn’t like. He definitely is a master at embodying feelings with just his voice. He goes from neutral, to angry to sexy effortlessly and this is why he’s my absolute favorite.

This was my first book narrated by Vivienne LaRue and I loved her performance as well. First of all, she has a great voice (and I don’t say that lightly lol) and she also gave a lot of passion and emotion to Sage that tells you as the listener exactly how she is feeling. There is not one thing even slightly flat about this narration, I totally recommend it.
