After getting to see a match in person and seeing an upset of a popular team they find themselves being drawn into the spandex-clad world of Modino, a creature known as a nexus lord that is responsible for the entire event. He comes to the two with an interesting proposition; with this other team creating upset after upset he wants to get involved and form a team of his own, teaming up with another nexus lord named Garlan whose expertise is muscle growth.
