I have read this story more than once. Now I have heard it on Audible. I still love the story. Doesn't seem to matter that I can almost recite the dialog. Hmmmm. Still hot!

This story has lots of depth and emotional attachments. Great sex and great narration by Ryan West and good narration by C J Bloom.

Ryan West - masterful vocal actor storyteller with sincerely engaging (obviously well thought out and well mapped out) character performances of males and females, breathing life, clear intentions and wants into all of the characters he portrays; if Ryan performed the whole book, I would have given it five Stars in the Performance category. CJ Bloom did not always have enough sincerity in character portrayals (females or males) and I'd fall out of the story distracted by CJ's narration. Sometimes it felt like CJ was focused more on creating the the twang southern Sam voice or a "pouty", "Southern" woman "vixen" voice than feeling and reacting to the story through the lens of how the characters experience the "moment by moment" details Lexi Blake lays out. Storytelling like that is hard, but it really makes the characters and the story come alive when it is done well - hence the Ryan West accolades.

I enjoyed this story, but it took me some time to get into it.
Same goes for the narrating. I adored Ryan West in the Masters and Mercenaries Series, but it took me quite some time to get used to the combination with CJ Bloom.
