Is it possible to be totally de-sensitized to spice? I didn’t think so until trying to read this. Now, I love a good s1utty book but it has to have a plot. I read just over half and got bored because all they ever do is IT. They don’t even really talk, there’s no banter, there’s no build up except for the first time. The whole plot is that he is her ex boyfriend’s dad and they were hot for each other the second their eyes met. That’s literally it. There isn’t a single chapter where they aren’t doing something.

If you want to read absolutely constant spice for 8.5 hours then here you go baby.

If you want to read a book about a Hot, sexy, melt your panties alpha male, this is your book. It makes me want a Tyler! Who doesn’t love a take charge man that knows what he wants in the bedroom! In addition, he’s sweet, generous and supportive of her career. The narrators are great and fit the characters. I will be reading more books from this author.

So I am slowly going through and catching up on this author's back catalog and I wanted a book that wasn't super detailed with plot (like some of her epic series/big standalones) and that is what I got with this sexy and heated daddy romance.

I have read a ton of M/M daddy tropes and read really one other M/F one (by Katee Roberts) and this one wasn't as good as hers (which I gave a 4 stars). I think the plot was more engaging in the other and this one the audio was good but not stellar the whole way through. Now again I knew what I was going to get going into it and thats why I would give this 3.5 stars (rounded down to 3 - I wish they could give us half star ratings!!).

So first off the audio. I like both of these narrators, the male narrator is one of my favorites. I thought he did a fabulous job. His rich tenor and throaty performance was similar to what my mind thought Daddy Tyler would sound like. He did a great job with all the heartache with the twists in this one, the tension he went through with wanting Lexi but not being able to have her, etc. I thought the female narrator wasn't as strong as she has been in other audiobooks for me. I also think because this wasn't duet she was at a poor disadvantage because she couldnt capture that same vibe as the male narrator could. It was a tall order and she tried but again fell short for me.

Plot again was not the point of this book haha, it was meant to be a steamy fun daddy taboo romance and I think it accomplished that. I liked the tension (sexual) between Lexi and Tyler. I thought Tyler could have done a better job at handling his kid earlier on, but some of that was because Lexi wasn't upfront with him. I felt bad for the characters with the twist in this one, it definitely gave a good arc to the story. I was happy with how Tyler's dad acted, he was and adorable add-on to the story. I am excited to listen to Stepbrothers next, loved the little hints/cameos she had that lead in well for her story.
