I wasn’t human, not completely. A Lycan—a centuries-old wolflike creature that was feared by all, stronger than anything on the planet, and who was only ever after one thing. My mate.

For over 300 years, I had one purpose in life. Find her, the one female born to be mine. My female who’d cause the Linking Instinct—that supernatural connection that told me she was mine and I hers—to finally take root and make me whole.

And for hundreds of years, I’d been alone, saving myself for my mate, never stopping the search.

Until I scented her, saw her, finally felt my heart beat and the blood rush through my veins with hope and anticipation.

Mine.

She didn’t see me, but she sensed me.

And she ran. She couldn’t possibly know how much the chase turned me on.

I didn’t know how I’d make her understand I could never let her go, that nothing and no one would stop me from making her mine.

Because once a Lycan found his mate…nothing in this world, nothing supernatural or human, could keep him from her.

Trope…insta-love, fated mates.
Not much to the story. If you want a slow-burn , quick read/listen, with an HEA it’s fine.
Narrators are of course- awesome.❤️

I loved everything about this book! So glad I decided to start back at the beginning with Ren and Mikalina. I love the premise of the mating and that both have saved themselves for their true match. Ren controls himself so he doesn't frighten Mikalina. She just knows there's something special about him and their connection as crazy as it is. I can't wait to read more!

The audiobook for this is not to be missed! Both Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke were perfectly cast as Ren and Mikalina. I could not get enough of their performance in this story.

Loved this audio!!!!

This was a really enjoyable fated mates story. The thing I liked most about the storyline was that it focused on the connection of Mikalini and Wren and there weren’t any other obstacles for them to face. It was really all about discovering their love. And the spice was fantastic! Jason and Stella were of course brilliant as the narrators. They always bring so much depth to their characters and really being the story to life.

Love a fated mate story

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the narration sounded. I typically like to speed up the narration but was unable due to the differing speeds and cadence of the narrators. Regardless, thier performance was what kept me listening. MMCs accent was commited and consistently broody, true to his frame of mind. and the MFC was believable as a young, innocent, wandering the World, searching for her purpose.

Unfortunately, I wasnt too thrilled with the plot. it was a slow build, felt a bit forced in some areas, and that one spicy scene (the one that seemed to go forever) was so long that I lost track of whos body parts were where and when. The whole story seemed to be missing conflict... The need to find a mate was strong with this one, so im assuming that was the main conflict. except it really wasn't.

All in all, it felt like a long, drawn out prologue. Wherein, by the time we got to what teased at being an interesting plotline [Luca], the book was over. It was a good tease though.

To Be Continued...?
